DESIGN CHALLENGE
Create 5 Meta ad creatives. The goal is to attract new readers to Book 1 of the series. Design a variety featuring book 1 Kindle mock-up and art/text only. 2 creatives should use the official book cover or artwork. 3 creatives can be more flexible (do not need to use the cover). Use Amazon listing, book synopsis, and reviews for inspiration and copy.
SOLUTION
I designed a variety of concepts for this ad based on current book ad trends and the provided copy, such as the two concepts that show the tropes in the book. I pulled compelling quotes from the book synopsis that would grab a reader’s interest. I always try to work with the provided cover art, rather than against it, and create designs that showcase the story being told. I chose typefaces that complement those used in the book title and author name.
